Being a website optimiser has a lot to do with dependence and accountability; this has to be developed over many months and is accomplished by continually turning out work that is pleasing to all concerned parties, namely the optimisation company, the search engines, the clients and the searchers.
If any one part begins to fall short, then the rest will soon follow, trust and responsibility take a long time to build up but only seconds to go. One bad piece of work will see all come tumbling down and all integrity will be no more.

Taking Time Out: Why Working In A Profitable Business Need Not Mean You Can Never Take Vacations
Sunday, September 5, 2010 | 10:53 amWhatever your job, it’s beneficial to take a holiday and escape from everyday matters. Many people like to go abroad for a few days; others may choose a resort in the UK, or simply spend time at home to catch up with a personal interest. If you work from home, it is best to get away for a week or two for a change of scene. Unfortunately, in many senior management jobs, it is often difficult leaving work behind altogether. A particular manager I worked for used to contact work all the time, while he was supposed to be away on vacation.
A minority of employers dislike their workers taking holidays and demand lots of notice for this. However, some financial instutions make it compulsory for employees to take a fourteen day break every year. If workers are on the fiddle, it might be feasible to keep this going for a week, but without being able to get to the office for two whole weeks, it becomes a lot trickier.
The unemployed are forbidden from leaving Britain for a holiday, as they are supposed to remain available for work. This is a quite outdated policy as, thanks to the appearance of Internet business, they are able to log in to the online jobs boards when abroad and submit applications from any place on earth.
If you work for yourself, you may have to forego holidays. Your first priority is to keep the business trading, which means that sometimes you don’t dare to take any time off. If you are a retailer, for example, it is risky to shut down the shop; customers may go somewhere else and may not return when you re-start. Nevertheless, if you start an Internet business or one of the variety of online jobs, it is possible to work from home or from any place where you can connect to the Internet.
Exploring the wilds of the Amazon could pose some problems for logging on to the Internet, but if you stick to civilization, you can do Internet business just as easily in Australia, Alaska or any other place. If you like skiing, you can bring a laptop to your Alpine hotel. Take a few minutes to deal with your emails over a coffee in the morning, and you can then enjoy the remainder of your day gliding downhill, with the peace of mind that your Internet business isn’t doing likewise.
Vacations are a good time to relax and think things over. Consequently, they are a great source of inspiration. You don’t have to hurry back home to record your ideas while you remember them. Again, just log on to the Internet and put them in your blog.
Some people may of course partake of liquid refreshment while away on holiday. You should remember it is risky to connect to the Web after you’ve had a few. You would never go to a business meeting with a colleague or client in such a state, therefore remember to do all your online jobs before unwinding and having something to drink.
However, it may not always be possible to run every aspect of your business while abroad on vacation. For instance if your Internet business is dependent on ordering of goods on your website, someone must stay behind to process the order. This would require a reliable partner or friend to help you out. There might also occur acute crises when you have no choice but to return early from holiday. It’s important to take into account how easy it would be to do this. A long sea cruise could lengthen the time it takes for you to get back, for example.
Nevertheless, if you work in an Internet business, the possibilities remain for you to go away on holiday without having to stay and work from home all the time, and still ensure your business is ticking over. Therefore you can read those holiday brochures with a clear conscience.

Is Internet Franchising A Viable Option For Employees Who Want To Dump The Corporate Rat Race And Start A Business From Home?
Wednesday, September 1, 2010 | 7:36 amHave you been in the corporate situation long enough? Perhaps you want to check out something different, but the safety of a good salaried career is a bit akin to having golden handcuffs. You had one of those Online Jobs in an IT department, so you appreciate computers and networking back to front. So skill set isn’t an concern. Perhaps it’s the financial break between leaving your current job and bringing in enough money if you choose to Work From Home. So as an alternative to building your own Internet Business from scratch why not take a crack at franchising. The main benefit is that the business model is normally tried and proven. Both parties profit from the deal. The Franchisor can expand their brand coverage without using up large sums of money for equipment, leases and inventory. They acknowledge that the Franchisee has a financial inducement to recoup their initial investment and a vested interest in making a hefty contribution to the impending success. For the Franchisee the main benefits are that the brand is already established and people are already purchasing products or services nationally. Also the equipment, marketing and training are included in the initial cost, so there is no colossal financial expense to get started. It is a stepping stone between being an employee and having your own concern outright.
With faster broadband now, having an Internet Business, where you Work From Home is not a problem. Fast download times and large data transmission allowances make operating a pc based concern viable even in remoter areas. The choice of franchises is colossal, so personnel in Online Jobs like IT staff or Accountants etc can basically just swop from being an employee to becoming a consultant. For those folks who want to do something different, then there are thousands of franchises available. These vary from one man franchises where you can Work From Home, to small ventures where you could have staff, premises and capital equipment to manage.
The principal issue with Franchising is that even if you are running the franchise you have no applicable say in how the business and the operating procedures are designed. Most franchises are designed around a set of exact operating practices meant to create stability in the nationwide or global brand. If you are willing to conform to the regulations of the Franchisor, and are merely looking to bring in income from your own work then this could be best for you. If you have entrepreneurial flair you could find franchising stifling and while you may tolerate it for a while, you may in the end find that you want to open your own concern anyway.
The supplementary issue is the contractual terms, and the fact that if you want out, you have to sell the franchise on. Now if your franchise is merely an Internet Business or a consultancy business, then these matters may be minimal as there is no stock, no equipment and no leases or premises to dispense with.
So if your risk limit is fairly low and you want to lessen any latent liabilities, then sticking to a franchise analogous to one of the Online Jobs you were doing could be the way to go. There are plenty of individuals and businesses requiring IT Support and advice on all kinds of issues.

The New World Of Online Advertising: How The World Wide Web Has Affected The Way Businesses Prepare Their Publicity Strategies
Monday, August 30, 2010 | 1:49 pmAmong the greatest challenges facing a business, particularly a new one, is making the market know of its goods and services. There is little point being the most accomplished artisan in the surrounding locality, or making the finest products in your field of business, if people don’t know this. Promotion and marketing are crucial. Indeed, vast quantities of money are disbursed all the time in this field. Everyone has seen customary means of advertising including classified adverts, of course. And yet at the current time due to the birth of Internet business, there are online jobs dedicated to expanding a company’s Web profile, and people doing these jobs often work from home instead of a conventional office, to do this.
A friend of mine once went into business running an antiques salesroom. He was a skilled floor manager, and maintained a professionally designed shop layout with all kinds of fascinating memorabilia, at realistic prices. And yet this guy simply couldn’t see the necessity to broadcast the business’s presence. He considered adverts to be too expensive, and he never got round to a serious marketing campaign. The salesroom in due course ceased trading, as a result of poor turnover. One customer who did find the centre a little before it shut, told me that he lived just round the corner and he had not been aware of its existence.
Traditional press advertising is no longer so dominant today. Rivalling it is the increasingly significant field of Internet business in which companies advertise their merchandise via professionally produced websites. Web designers often work from home in online jobs employing Web software to build stylish websites for businesses. Internet advertising is also a expanding area of business. Many adverts on the Web are downright infuriating as they materialize as ‘popups’ when when you select a hyperlink, even if the ad is irrelevant to the website and you have no personal interest in whatever the popup is trying to sell.
And this is the conundrum. When consumers are seeking paper-based ads, they go to the appropriate pages of a newspaper or a trade publication. We are lacking an Internet based equivalent for such ads, so what alternative do people use? They employ search engines, typing in a word or phrase which sums up what they are seeking, and finding out what the engine shows may be relevant links. However with perhaps thousands of websites possibly related to the keyword, how can a search engine decide which ones it should rank most highly?
Therefore a different variety of online jobs has exists, optimizing websites to ensure they are more likely be placed on page one of an Internet search, and hence have more people visiting the sites. In the sphere of Internet business, the website effectively serves as the advert, and rather than ads being directed at people as in a commercial television advertising break, people come to the websites via the search engines. For this reason many people work from home boosting search engine rankings.
From the viewpoint of businesses, this technique has an important advantage. An ad, in whatever medium it appears, carries the same cost, whether it brings in lots of new sales or nobody takes any notice of it. On the other hand, whether a website is well optimized will only be calculated by its position in search engine placement. Businesses only have to pay the optimizing specialists, if they get the business’s website onto page 1 of the results. Clearly it is likely that those who are sufficiently interested to enter a relevant search phrase will look at the first handful of websites returned and buy things there.
The world of advertising has been transformed by the Internet, yet a number of things remain. Getting the market to know about your products is a fundamental part of Internet business just as it is for the older kind.

Using Search Engine Optimisation To Obtain A Page One Entry Is Not The End
Sunday, August 29, 2010 | 4:21 pmA typical search request made with any of the leading search engines will return hundreds of thousands of entries. It is clear that only websites mentioned on the first few pages of a search results listing will ever be examined, and there are figures that show that most searchers do not look beyond page two. For any enterprise attempting to draw new buyers from a search request, it is obvious that its pages need to have a high search engine positioning to be considered. This is where the use of publicity techniques such as search engine optimisation become important, as a means to raise the natural search engine positioning of the organization’s pages until a page one placement is gained. However, that cannot be the end of search optimization.
It is tempting for an organisation that has used the services of a professional search engine optimisation consultancy to end any arrangement when a page one placement has been gained: after all, the primary intention has been met. However, search engine optimisation is not just about that. Rivals will also be trying for better rankings using the same keywords that have gained the page one placement, so the work that the search optimization professionals have been performing to promote the chosen keywords must be continued to retain the position. It may be possible to reduce the level of support for specific keywords but it must not be stopped completely. In addition, new keywords can be selected for promotion, to encourage the search engines to give additional high placements for the pages that are now doing well or to take an interest in some of the organization’s other pages.
There is an incentive for an optimisation consultancy that has succeeded in achieving page one listings for its client to retain those listings, and that is mostly financial, although professional pride should play its part. In many cases, the optimisation consultancy receives most of its fees from its client based on success, and that is typically defined in terms of an appearance on page one for an agreed keyword at a a chosen point that can be confirmed by the client, usually an agreed day and time each week. These incremental fees are modest in themselves, but can be easily covered by the additional trade that the client enterprise receives from the better placement. For the optimisation consultancy it is possible that many months of work will be necessary before any improvement in ranking is apparent, let alone rising to page one, and during that time the consultancy receives no payment. Its income comes from each page one listing. The optimisation expert needs to preserve that level without being involved in a struggle with competitors for the same keywords. As long as his client is seeing success, so is the optimisation expert, and both benefit.
Achieving a page one placement is important for an organisation, but it is equally important to retain the page one search engine positioning. The page one placement alone is no guarantee of more traffic, but the chances of more traffic must be better if the page one placement is sustained. To do so, some search optimization effort must continue.

Taking A Long Hard Look At The Prospects For The Economy: Ways You Can Provide For Your Present And Future Wellbeing In Hard Times
Monday, August 23, 2010 | 12:30 pmIn mid-2010 the British economy is recovering from the most severe recession for eighty years. The following upturn has been exceedingly shallow, and we are seeing growing hints that we may unfortunately be approaching a ‘double dip’ recession – an additional downturn. Many people who were made redundant in 2009 and have yet to find a job offer, may feel this most alarming prospect of all. Many more who have kept their jobs so far may also become unemployed. It is essential for families and individuals to plan approaches that will guarantee them income during the coming years. Among these are self-employment options, such as in the currently expanding sector of online jobs in Internet Business.
So what is behind this new wave of pessimism? Obviously, the new coalition government’s programme of cuts may have its impact on the economy, particularly on employment as many public sector employees are made redundant. Demand in most advanced economies is not improving, and unemployment levels show little sign of falling. Many predict that when the stimulus package introduced in 2008 has run its course, there will be no more money in the kitty to induce an upturn. In such a turn of events, some experts fear a further major depression, as bad as the one in the 1930s.
One characteristic of the present situation is the reappearance of ‘stagflation’, a ghost of the 1970s. Theoretically, when times are hard, prices should remain stable or deflate, because demand declines. But on the contrary, the economy has been hit by major increases in electricity, gas and petrol prices, as well as steep rises in food prices. Even when families are faced with stagnant or declining incomes, they are being hit by constantly rising bills.
The jobs that have been shed across the country have come from all sectors, including computing. However, for those with initiative, there exist opportunities to work from home and earn a living in a variety of self-employed roles. Such positions can be hard work, and payment is by results, but such online jobs offer much needed supplementary money at a period of deep downturn such as now.
Clearly, nobody can offer a sure method to get a position that is entirely resistant to a downturn. However, the times of jobs for life are without a doubt now at an end. Therefore An essential issue is whether Internet Business can sustain growth against the grain of job losses elsewhere. Evidently, it’s going to be hard going, as will any other sector. Even so, as businesses deal with increasing competititon in the marketplace, they will give generously to people who can help bring them higher sales. One way of doing so is to work from home optimizing corporate websites, to ensure they receive a good search engine ranking.
There is the question of how many years the current slump will carry on for. Because of the huge amounts of personal in addition to government debt, many people will have to spend several years paying off what they owe, so that demand will continue to be weak until that is over with. Since online jobs keep down commuting costs and similar outgoings, by allowing you to work from home, they are an ideal way for workers to retain as much as possible of their earnings, in order to reduce their debts at a faster rate and become free to spend again as soon as possible.
Evidently, times are hard, and are unlikely to improve any time soon. However, you can find opportunities in the sector of Internet Business, where online jobs give the chance for self-motivated people to work from home and even prosper, in spite of the gloom and doom outside.

Cemeteries Are Chock-A-Block With Indispensible People Who Put Career And Employer A Higher Priority Than All Other Considerations But Is It Sensible?
Sunday, August 15, 2010 | 9:12 amIn the Eighties, the culture of careers changed in many places as the American model was adopted in many firms, usually among the professions where it suddenly became a badge of honour to be in earlier and stay later. The job and career was everything and to be promoted you had to impress and that meant working harder than everyone else. Or at least appearing to do so, which is not necessarily the same thing. It was a variation on the Calvinist inspired Protestant Work Ethic as a signal of accomplishment and personal salvation.
During the nineties it was alleged that one particularly large computer software maker disapproved of its employees getting married. The founder wasn’t married, went the thinking, so why would someone want that kind of interruption? The idea was that you had to be indispensible to the business and vice versa, and few thought that a career cardiac arrest was anything but a tick in the box. Gardens of rememberence are chock-a-block with indispensible people.
The attitude still remains in many firms. Having worked in the IT industry I can confirm that I have seen and been part of it. But I am not part of it any longer thank the stars. Since I Work From Home there isn’t anyone breathing down my neck the entire time. Except that there is, and it’s me and that’s harder because when your boss hasn’t got a clue what you do, it’s easy to spin some tosh about why something is not finished or has gone wrong on the odd occasion when there is a problem.
An Internet business does not have the facilities to properly monitor what employees are doing other than looking at of productivity, so it follows that a great deal of trust is needed to be invested in those doing Online business. And this is probably the great advantage that Work From Home gives. Pride in ones performance is important, we feel very disturbed if someone questions our performance or alleges that it isn’t really up to the mark and so it follows that if you leave people alone to get on with it they will do their best if the only monitor is productivity rather than the type of systems like those in call centres that watches every hour of every day.
At the commencement of each day, someone sitting down to Work From Home knows what is needed to be done during the day. Today for instance I shall finish this document. In recent days I’ve only been able to finish one a day due to circumstances that mean I can’t be here to do my usual two. Online business mean that as I have to be available to do some other things today because my son can’t go to school this afternoon and the missus has an appointment this afternoon. So I shall drive him to the park and if I am very good he will allow me see the England game with him. At least until the missus comes home again.
Internet business is hopefully going to be able to destroy the potty idea where the boss is more important than the family, for people who don’t want to play those games. Pride in performance when paired with the trust to be allowed to get on with it should mean that benefits are felt at every level of a business without driving like a lunatic into an early grave.

Councils Are In For A Hard Time As The Government Cut Public Spending. Savings Are Now First Priority In Order To Keep Jobs
Saturday, August 14, 2010 | 11:31 amWell the 2010 budget is really what everyone expected, and while it is going to be harsh all round, we can’t deny, that over the piece, public spending has proliferated during Labour’s term in Government. So if the Councils want to preserve jobs but still need to trim spending, where are the reductions going to come from?
Well the obvious choices are salary freezes and where achievable some councils are looking at amalgamating services including senior management. This is wonderful stuff, notablyfar reaching. Honestly to see two refuse lorries with different Council logos is mind boggling especially when less than 500 thousand inhabitants live in two small counties.
Another possibility is to ask individual staff to Work From Home. There are quite a few benefits to be gained here and not only for the Councils. Councils have loads of Online Jobs where personnel are basically tied to a pc. They hardly ever communicate face to face with other personnel, and if they do, it is by e-mail or the infrequent telephone call. How many personnel in other departments have you never ever a quantity of staff Work From Home start to build up quickly. Real estate is the obvious big saving assuming you can divest your premises. But I bet nearly all Councils have had to hire Porta Cabins to accommodate staff through the noughties as Council budgets swelled. These leases can be terminated on expiry and personnel returned into the main building. Along with this are savings in maintenance bills, utility bills, reduced canteen bills (most of which fund meals for personnel as well) andby and large less wear and tear overall.
With the advance Online Jobs can be transferred easily to an employee’s house. The employee gains financially through savings on the daily commute, and probably reduced food bills etc, but they also acquire time which over a week can be as much as 10 to 20 hours influenced by how far work is from their home.
A further area is e-commerce. Councils need to wake up to Internet Business and the chances to widen the marketplace on individual tenders. How many councils go through the motions on rewarding contracts for significant parts of their council budgets? I am sure that opening the offers to a wider audience would a) reduce the costs and b) invite some companies which have more progressive thoughts.
Internally, taking on an Internet Business mind set may also make an impression. By teaching employees to communicate electronically, and as a result consume less paper based materials, large savings can be made in stationary, files, filing cabinets, space, heating lighting etc etc.
So this is a encouraging start for big savings – with some employees who have Online Jobs moved out to Work From Home major savings can be made for both parties.
Utilising Internet Business practices to –
a) Decrease contracted services, capital equipment and consumables
b) Decrease paper based media and communications adds to the cutbacks
I can’t put figures implemented it nationwide I bet it would run into hundreds of millions of tax-payer’s hard earned ready money. So shouldn’t the councils have an duty to you and me to at least adopt some of the above ideas?

Will Networking Sites Be Able To Nullify The Social Space Created When Workers Have Been Invited To Work From Home?
Monday, August 2, 2010 | 4:01 amThere has been a recent trend by Central Government and some large companiesto have large groups of staff Work From Home. Definitely there are pros for everyone affected, including the natural world. For example staff in certain Online Jobs, probably work in small cubicles all day long with little or no face to face interaction with suppliers, customers or even co-workers. So why must they commute daily, frittering away time and cash when they could Work From Home. It saves on gas, wear and tear on their cars, and frees up more time with family and friends. The bosses save on real estate costs, utility costs and other costs associated with having workers on the premises. And the natural world wins to boot, as all those planes trains and automobiles are tucked up in bed. There is reduced pollution and effortless commutes for everyone that still have to get to work. Appears like an ideal set up, doesn’t it.
Well you can’t dispute the balance sheet. It surely makes financial sense for all people concerned. Nonetheless there are some disadvantages. And to be explicit this doesn’t affect everybody. One of the intangible effects on folks who Work From Home is the dearth of social interaction. Yes perhaps they do work in a workspace all day, but at coffee breaks, natural breaks and lunchtimes, folks get together and discuss all manner of things. It’s what folks do, and they enjoy doing it.
The unstoppable rise of Internet Business and Online Jobs has transformed the rules on working habits. Technology has steered work through our front doors, and into our abodes. A side effect of this is that workers are physically isolated from their associates by miles of suburbia. The coffee machine is no longer on hand for an impromptu meeting to discuss last week’s Soaps or Saturday’s football.
Nonetheless people are creative, and when an issue comes calling, they can typically find a way out. If social exclusion is the issue then social networking sites are the way out for many individuals. It comes as no shock that as Internet Business and the World Wide Web has steadily taken over many facets of our lives, that there has also been a change in how we communicate with each other. Letters replaced by e-mail, phone calls replaced by texts and window shopping replaced by web browsing. Perhaps morning coffee with the ladies can be replaced by a session on Facebook?
Well, 400 million customers will testify to the sway of social networking, as Facebook leads the social networking scene. Folks who Work From Home can keep in contact with colleagues, look at photographs, arrange meetings and by and large keep tabs on what is happening with other people’s lives. It doesn’t replace the physical interaction but it can fill some of the gap by the joint sharing of our recent activities. Social networking sites have become a colossal Internet Business in their own right. Yet again technology has permitted us the means to partially relate to workers whose Online Jobs have been shunted out to homes across the country. In many cases Americans probably intermingle more with folks online than with their close neighbours. Perhaps in 100 years time someone will have a terrific idea about us all teaming up under the same roof!! ?

Independent Financial Advisors Can Increase Their Productivity By Using The Internet To Market Their Work And Deliver Information To Their Clients.
Sunday, August 1, 2010 | 4:20 pmIFA’s abound these days and every week there is an e-mail or web promotion enquiring into your financial well being. Most IFA’s Work From Home and have taken the opportunity to go it alone, as the insurance companies have merged and shed personnel. IFA’s are a super example of folks who have had Online Jobs, and have all the skills necessary to start an Internet Business, as well as being able to handle clients personally.
A lot of independent financial advisors operate locally, and have more than likely taken clients with them when laid off. So setting up their own venture is not as fraught as starting cold with no clients at all. Major corporations do have soliciting terms, but hey what can you do, if old clients come knocking on your door. The chances are that even if you do end up with some old clients, it won’t be enough to keep you solvent. That is where the Internet Business startsto pay dividends. Employing a web site to endorse your business will bring in folks who want a local IFA, because they arenew to investment and financial planning. Your web site can also to help clients to understand financial material, and the more they click on your website, the more comfortable they will become with the products and services you are selling.
The advantage of being able to Work From Home is that you can react right away to enquiries and probably meet budding clients on the same day. Utilising a PC and the World Wide Web, an IFA can quickly appraise the markets and keep charts on the funds they are proposing to clients. Essentially all the Online Jobs needed for the new undertaking, are the same as they were in the former corporate office. The distinction is that now the IFA can be their “own boss”. Just browsing other IFA web sites you can see the all the various items that are offered. There is everything from familiar products such as mortgages and insurances, to international investment funds and retirement planners. You can also keep abreast of news items such the Budget and its effect on your personal income and future financial health.
So you can see that creating an Internet Business, on the back of established knowledge, can only be a plus as far as supporting new and existing clients. You can log in as often as you wish, and keep an eye on the FT 100 INDEX and how your investment fund is performing. Using the IFA website as a portal, takes you immediately to the items you want, and you can also surf and see if there is anything significant happening in the financial markets.
I haven’t encountered an IFA who recommends the corporate Online Jobs over an independent Work From Home career. There is no reservation that access to information is helping people to work on their own, because there is no reliance on the big companies to distribute all the information. Once you set up a link to the proper information, you can be updated immediately any time, any day, any month. They declarethat information is power. If that is the case, more power is being distributed to the masses and that can only be a good thing.
